Murray Lang took the title in the inaugural Urban 18 Open Championship with a round of 84 at the Old Course, St. Andrews. While the real players were finding wind conditions a tough competitor, Lang fended off the on-set of Strongbow induced vision to take the top of the leaderboard. 19 players competed in total throughout the day, with Lang pipping Bryan Pruden and the rest of the field by one shot despite nearly throwing it all away as he twice went out of bounds in the hotel on St. Andrews’ infamous road hole.
